Military benefits and VA ratings are completely separate and dealt with by separate organizations.
At 50% VA Disability ($1,070/monthly'ish) you get health benefits at your registered VA hospital. No dental or vision unless at 100% OR your disability rating is related to dental/vision.
Military benefits really end at the termination of your active duty time, save for your GI BILL. If you retire you get a retired ID Card and can use the PX. Regardless, your question is really two different components of being a veteran and unrelated. Your 1SG for instance has NOTHING to do with your Discharge Type or disability rating.

A disability at exiting the service can usually start at 10% and would only glean a pittance of $200 or so a month. Benefits, on the other hand, are more tangible than the cash received. I'm not entirely sure you could qualify for Tricare for Life, which helps with prescription medications, but educational benefits should still exist for you. Check with your local first sergeant or S-1 if you're still on active duty. Make sure you know your benefits before your ETS time.
