You may be working the tower. Telling pilots where to land, what space to park in. Ground control.

Why would they put a comms soldier to do this? He has no training/experience in airfield operations.

SPC (Join to see) - My wife was a flight records clerk and did it. It ain't always about what you're trained for. My wife had nothing to do with radios at least he does.

SFC Michael D. flight operations specialists (or records clerks, if you will) are trained for that sort of thing. A 25U shouldn’t be doing the job of a 15P unless all hell has broken loose.

The most unit-focused work will surround COMSEC and partnering with the AMSOs to ensure there’s good communication for flight and maintenance teams. Also retrieval and custodianship of secure fills in partnership with the S2.

Of course, you’ll also manage the computers and mobile devices of the unit and be asked endlessly for help with printers and frayed cables.

“Can I install Tankwars on my laptop?!”
“No, Carl” (but in this case, Carl is a CW2)

Good luck in your next chapter!
