7 years TIS and 14 months TIG. Successfully completed ASAP 2 years ago. (No DUI thankfully) I understand drill sergeant and recruiter are out the window, but are all broadening assignments out the window? Like instructor?

I don't think ASAP is a permanent bar for positions of trust, I believe it just requires a waiting period. I don't remember where I read it last time but I believe it is a three year period following ASAP before you can fill a position of trust. You also don't have to fill a broadening assignment. While recruiter, drill, and instructor would be the most competitive for promotion, you could also fill positions outside your MOS like S3. Those are still looked at favorably by the board
