What are your thoughts on this as a way to our children while at school?

The stand off distance of a fire extinguisher is a little short. I think arming the teacher with an actual firearm would be more effective, because this scenario doesn't factor in the bad guy shooting wildly and blindly which can harm even more people.

SGT David T. - dont' get me wrong, it is nowhere near an ideal an solution. But hitting them with a fire extinguisher beats the alternative....particularly since I doubt we'll ever see widespread acceptance of armed teachers.
