Honestly, I'm torn on this. I applaud them for flexing their 1st amendment right to free speech as should anyone that supports & defends the constitution; but I question their purpose for being in the military if they're against fighting & dying; anyone with common sense would know that such things always have a possibility of occurring when one is serving in the military.

It is not professional or appropriate to be in uniform and protest. It should be done as individuals in civilian clothes and done without violating the UCMJ or other regulations.

Much like you said, LTC (Join to see), those types of opinions are not keeping with the mindset of the military. If you have such thoughts and opinions, and the military acts against your views, that is why the military has the conscientious objector means by which to be separated from the service.

PFC Eric Minchey, my opinion is that this sort of image sends the wrong message. If that individual is a real Soldier, he is saying he intends to violate the oath he took when he enlisted or reenlisted, or at least implying that. Remember the part about "I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me"?

I gotta "vote" against this sort of thing, whether it's protected as free speech or not.

I agree with Warrant Officer Montgomery, when you are in the military you should refrain from any public demonstrations, opinion polls or voicing your opinions on social media, if you what to demonstrate your dislike for something our government is doing write your representative and remember what they did or did not do at election time with your Vote.

My comment/opinion is right there with CPO Mahoney. I would like to ad to it as well. Nobody is gonna agree with their superiors 100% of the time, however, if you do not agree with what you are being ordered to do as as a representative of our military sometimes its best to keep your mouth shut and do what you are told. There is a place and a time to voice your opinion, as well as how you voice your opinion to your superiors make a BIG difference. If you're gonna do it, do it correctly so you don't make an ass of yourself

I agree too CW5 (Join to see), that's shameful in my opinion, why are they serving their country if they don't want to 'serve' their country?

Pretty simple. If you don't want to do the job as your boss tells you, find another job. No one is "forced" to be in the military right now. Go to your Chain of Command, tell them you want out. Make room for the people who want to stay.

You get a vote at election time. The guy that gets elected calls the shots. Still don't like it? Run for President. Good luck.

I also have a problem with people who pretend to be brave by making a statement but then hide their identity. These people obviously don't have the courage to back up their words. That doesn't give them much credibility when they don't value their opinion enough to stick their neck out there.

Is there a risk for speaking your mind? Of course! Welcome to the real world. No re-spawns. No power-ups. No character recreations. You take your single life down a path and you deal with the consequences.
