There is no regulation on someone separated from service wearing PT gear. I wear my Army jacket that I paid over 100 bucks for because, well, its mine. I would be out of uniform if in the Army but I'm no longer in. I'm retired. I will wear and do what I please. Army PT shirt in the gym without the shorts? Yup. When you're retired you're retired. When you're discharged, you're discharged.
