What are the odds of getting a medical waiver for Army OCS after having ACL reconstruction surgery?

Good afternoon I’m Sgt bryant. I’m currently completing my ocs packet for the January deadline. I recently had acl reconstruction surgery last May which has cause me to have a condition where the provider is saying I have no cartilage in my knee. I have recovered to take multiple pt test in which I have been running stronger than I did before( I used to run 15 mins. Now I run low 14 mins). I have to apply for a waiver. I was wondering should I keep the process going but with the fear of maybe being medically disqualified? How successful is it to get a waiver I guess is what I’m asking. Thanks in advance

Any waiver is unpredictable, I submitted a waiver for OCS as an NCO as well, it was approved quickly and now I'm an Officer.
You have the passing APFT records, you're good. You can do the job and I'm assuming you're not on any type of profile. Apply for the waiver, keep pursuing your goal. With the surplus for Officers happening you have a good chance of approval.

I've had to get my fair share of waivers through my time in service, and if there is one thing I've learned, its that someone between you and God will waive anything.
Keep trying. If you can meet standards and pass apft/opat/acft you'll be fine.
