So I’m currently a 35F in the reserves and am trying to go active duty , getting the process done with a recruiter and my unit, but when that process is complete and I go to MEPS again to sign an active contract, what are the chances of being able to get airborne?, and going to Bragg? Really wanna go to the 82nd and challenge myself

You just have to ask, if they have it they'll give it to you. If not, after you've been a year on station you can request Airborne training through your branch manager. The Army is always in need of Skill level 1 Airborne Soldiers

The only way you will get airborne is if you go to an airborne unit and most of Ft. Bragg is airborne. So if you are allowed to request your base, Bragg is what you should ask for.

Pretty high honestly. If you really want to challenge yourself then volunteer for an airborne contract with an Option 40 and try to get to the R-MIB.
But in all honesty, you can get an airborne contract but there is no guarantee you are going to end up in the 82nd

Nothing wrong with the 173rd in Vicenzo, Italy...I was with them in Nam. Great unit.
