I am looking to learn more about the different airframes the army has in its inventory as far as where the best possible duty assignments are and what types of things to expect. I understand starting out WO1 are more or less in charge of learning the planning phases of the missions. What other goals should I be striving for once Warrant is a reality for me?

The UH60 will give you the absolute best choices in assignments. The AH64 will be at all dirty boot divisional assignments as well as the Chinook, so the UH60 is the most versatile choice when looking at assignments across the globe. As for a goal, if you do not have a degree awarded, make that your number one goal after becoming somewhat proficient as an aviator. The education is a MUST going forward and seeking a competent mentor is as well.

Thank you for this insight. It is much appreciated. I'm stuck at a point right now as to what degree I'd want to pursue. I'm leaning more towards aviation mechanic but I don't know what doors I can open up with different degrees

As an aviator I stayed away from all aviation degrees to provide variance abs other opportunities. If you wish to stay eternally in aviation once separated from the service, then an A&P would do and any other type of degree from Embry - Riddle.

Number 1 goal, be as proficient in your MOS as possible.
Number 2 goal, get your bachelor degree
Number 3 goal, if you plan on staying in past 20 years, get your Masters Degree.
