What are some true things that people don't like to think about?

In the Profession of Arms we don't often have the luxury not to think about unpleasant truths, and sometimes have them thrust before us. A few to start with:
Might actually does make right.
Property is whatever you are able to defend a claim to.
In order to eat, be clothed, or be sheltered, something else had to die.
Just like literature, conflict is what makes life interesting--no one would have any motivation without it.
One form of that conflict is stress--stress keeps us moving and not just sleeping life away.
The wage you are willing to work for is the value you place on your time and life.
The borrower is slave to the lender.

Righteousness is all relative.
The only reason why your cause was righteousness was because you won. If Hitler would have won WWII and took over Europe he would have been viewed as a Hero. This is the same with ISIS. To their people they are the righteousness ones and we are the heathens that are doing the devils work. We will find out who is right after the GWOT is over.
As much we like to believe we are doing what is right so is the enemy. Only the victors will tell the deal of who was right.
