I am looking to get one that has adjustable cant, adjustable retention, and sits low. I currently have the Sticky Holster and looking to branch out to a smaller kydex. I would prefer the option to carry 3-5 o'clock or AIWB.

I use an AlienGear IWB holster for my XD40. I love it. Sometimes I even forget that I'm wearing it. I highly recommend AlienGear.

I've got 2 AlienGear holsters with the kydex shells to fit most of my handguns. They are currently configured to fit my XD9 and my Sig 1911. Other shells will fit my M&Ps (9 & 45), traditional 1911s and my XD9 Sub. The price paid for the 2 complete plus extra shells was under $80 - a great bargain for comfortable holsters I actually use.
I also have a Crossbreed to fit the M&Ps which is almost as comfortable as the AlienGear, but set me back $80 several years prior. I also have a Galco for my Sig profile 1911s that is similar in construction to the AlienGear & Crossbreed, but is nowhere near as comfortable. It is possible that it just isn't broken in yet. The AlienGear did not require a break-in period. (The Crossbreed did require break-in and was pretty uncomfortable the first week to 10 days.)

I would recommend taking a look at Tulster Holsters they are very minimal and good craftsmanship. I added the belt loops. I prefer them over the clip and they provide them at a little extra cost. It rides very comfortable all day and I carry at 5 o'clock. It is very versatile where ever you choose to carry it. Also the cant is adjustable for what you are looking for. I would also recommend checking out Snagmag for an easy concealment of an extra magazine. https://tulster.com/

I'd check out N82 Tactical. I found them to be the most comfortable. They have a feature that inhibits the bad guy from grabbing your weapon as the grip must be turned in a bit for release. Never had one of mine jar or slip out. You can easily adjust the angle. Only one I use. Both of the guys are named Nate, hence the company name.

Mine are the pro model. The holster is polycarbonate, not Kydex, for a reason. It has to do with the fully reliable and repeatable method to draw while making it very difficult for a bad guy to grab it. The poly is very rigid and inflexible, so what you feel every time is the same.
