Hi all,
Heading to Korea shortly for a 1 year unaccompanied tour. My spouse is staying CONUS and is stated in my orders as moving to our home of record while I'm gone. Just to ensure, should receive BAH based on the zip code for that location correct? Also, will this allow us to receive Dislocation Allowance as well?
On top of that I am supposed to be in Area 1, therefore from my understanding should receive the $150 "Safe Pay" as well as Family Separation, is family sep the same $250 as CONUS?
On top of that as I understand it I will also receive COLA based on whether or not I am in some sort of barracks or if unavailable Overseas Housing Allowance on top of that?
Thanks in advance

Sir, you are authorized DLA but no TLA, there is the hazard duty pay for your area which I believe is still $150. They have officer quarters but they tend to be full so you will be able to find a place off base the OHA will cover that and you will recive the money to cover utilities. Let me know if you have any other questions Sir. Also be aware it takes about 2 months for your BAH to level to where your family is so adjust accordingly

I am currently deployed here to Area 1. We receive SAVE pay, hazard duty pay and family sep. not sure if that helps or not since I am not permanently assigned here.

Back in 1968, we got an additional pay amount of, as I recall, $55 per month for hazardous duty or hardship duty. Seems like the military doles out a considerable amount of money to our nation's military above and beyond the normal pay. If we have received BAH for living off the compound back then it would have been about $10 a month. Folks in the military these days don't know how good they have it. I have looked at the pay charts for current years and see that you folks are getting a pretty good deal. Actually, some pay grades are earning, with all the extras, more than I get for VA Service Connected Disability plus social security.
