All, if you are married, do you wear your wedding ring in uniform? If you do, what kind and what are your thoughts on why you chose that type.

When I was on or around tracks in the Army, no, it went on my dog tag chain. Otherwise, I wore it.

I always wear mine, although there were a few times in Afghanistan I kept it on my dog tag chain so I wouldn't damage it.

A marriage is a holy union by God between a man and a woman. The only way the uniform can 'restrict' the wearing of a wedding ring is if the ring is ostentatious.

I understand many choose to wear and hold this dear to them. I always have worked in food service or shipping / receiving and on ships and submarines. Working in food, I had a strict rule of nobody could wear any jewelry in the food service area's.
As an instructor for several years, I could have but, out of habit chose not to wear my ring. As soon as I retired, the ring went on and stayed there for quite a number of years.

Although for most of my career I could not wear it at work (electronics). In an office setting I wear it everyday.

Depends...If I'm in the office spaces then yes, but if I'm working in the shop then no, it's a safety hazard and I prefer to keep my fingers attached to me.

MSgt I am planning on getting married in a few years if I stay with my current girlfriend. I marked other because it would depend on the type of ring I decide to get if its one like a tungenstun ring I would or would put it on my dog tags during field events or deployment so that I don't lose or damage it though that material is tough.
