Wow! I have to say, I am completely intimidated by motorcycles.
This may be a good way to learn about them without the baggage of people that I know that have been hurt or killed on them.
Most of the accidents are some cars/drivers not 'respecting' the motorcycle space.

LTC John Shaw, seriously if you can ride a bicycle, these programs can get you up and riding in a weekend. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn. Depending on your state, completing one of these courses waives the on the road test too. Not to mention these course also give you a discount on your insurance to boot!

LTC John Shaw, I have noticed that a lot of accidents also involve motorcyclists riding above their skill level, or acting as if they were at Track Days rather than riding on a public highway.

I will say that I have never gone to a class that I haven't picked up at least one new skill or more importantly, reenforced skills I was a bit rusty on.
