In a memo dated October 14, 2014, the CAR delegated to OFTS commanders the authority to grant voluntary branch transfers and Functional Area designations according to the applicable regulations. The memo also allows AOC designation at OFTS level.

This is an informational post for those who might get some use out of it. I also wanted to ask if anyone has been subject to a two-year utilization period after a branch transfer. This is part of the policy.

Thanks Ryan, I just saw this yesterday myself....right after I went through the nut roll to get an FA awarded by the RRC. As for utilization, I've never seen it enforced as it's tough to track on the USAR side. Maybe for AGR, but TPU is tough to track. Thanks for posting. Always good to share info.

I figured it was unenforced, and I don't think it should be the blanket policy. I just transferred to 90A. The problem with utilization is that it interferes with KD positions.
