Marvin was a Marine sniper. He was wounded in action. He used to fondly tell that he was shot in the one place that no soldier can resist shooting at if the opportunity presents itself.

I served in the US Navy, 1966 and served in 1969-70 on a search and rescue vessel, the USS Arikara ATF-98, working from the 17th parallel at Hue, Da Nang, Vung Tau, Cam Ranh Bay, the Saigon Rive and Yankee Station.
My great-great-great grandfathers served in the Revolutionary War
My great-great grandfathers served in the War of 1812
My great grandfathers served during the Civil War. His brothers did as well, on both sides.
My Grandfather, Walter James Frazier served in the US Army WWI
My father served in US Navy, during WWII Andrew Jackson Frazier
J T Rowland, Bob Rowland, Seldon Turner served in the US Army or Navy WWII
Jim and Bob Rowland served in the Korean War
Bob Rowland served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam
Larry Johnson, Larry Kindred and Larry Bogle , my cousins were in the Army in Vietnam and were KIA during the Tet Offensive 1968
My cousins Anthony Luke was in Vietnam
My brother Timothy Frazier was in Vietnam
My son, Major Walter J. Frazier, Jr is currently serving the US Army and has been in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as Bahrain.
My son-in-law, SSG Russell Smith is currently in the Air Force and was in Iraq
My grandson Ryan Geddes is entering boot camp for the US Army Reserves
