More often than not, the families are left wondering what they could have done differently, how could someone have such a frame of mind, eternal sadness, and a hole that could never be filled.

It is very tough on the unit when we lose one of our own. This song hits home. It is hard on all of us.

I personally don't know anyone who took their life, but I know it absolutely devastates friends and family.

MAJ Ken Landgren suicide is a very painful subject for those left behind as well as for those who attempted suicide and did not succeed. I hope and pray that anybody who is contemplating suicide has a friend or family member who will recognize the signs before the attempt is made.

I emphatically concur. It is imperative someone guides the person to receive help, or the person knows who to contact. I would guess sometimes people feel like there is no way to win, and nobody can help them. Survival instincts should kick in.
