Two handles. One for INPUT and one for OUTPUT.
Guy in middle controls the CPU. Guy on the right ensured power to all the peripherals.

Thats how i drove to the midnight shift Capt Seid Waddell! I've been working on computers since I got my first job as a computer operator back in 1974. I was waiting to get on the NYPD and took the job just to pay the bills. Been working in them ever since in one way or another. When i took my son to the Boston computer Museum when he was 12, and that was 20 years ago, every piece of equipment there I had worked on. I said to my son, i ought to hop in a display case as I've operated every one of the machines on display. The Internet was just taking old then and I was setting teachers up with dial up connections and the Netscape browser which they had on display!
