Syrian refugees in US are thoroughly vetted, John Kerry says.

I don't see how this could be possibly done when I see on the National newscast that there is no paperwork on the refugees. Their names aren't known, except for what they say their names are. Also, with Obama out of office, how will this be handled with the new administration? Had there not been any terrorist rhetoric about ISIS and Al Qaida, this wouldn't be going on. But, there is terrorists in our country and many others, waiting for the opportunity to kill all they can. Even if 90% of the Syrians coming into our country were not radicals, the remaining 10% who are radicals, could create some deadly attacks. IMO, we need to give this more time for our safety in our own country.
And now for the rest of the story:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WASHINGTON — Secretary of State John Kerry, seeking to allay fears from the Paris terror attacks and muffle the outcry over a plan to accept 10,000 Syrian refugees in the next year, has sent a lengthy letter to Governor Charlie Baker of Massachusetts and his counterparts detailing the tough screening procedures for the immigrants.
The 4½-page letter details the type of refugees who receive priority — families, victims of torture, and children — and describes the multiple screening steps refugees must pass.

SGT (Join to see) You can tell he is lying because his mouth is moving. The Democratic/GOP establishment & funding sources and this administration are Statist, they want to bring in more to votes to increase their power. I don't trust any of them, main stream media or their cronies. These are difficult issues, we need to be honest with ourselves and the American public.
We need to deal with American problems and stop trying to solve the world's problems. The refugees should not be moved from their homes in Syria or Jordan.

LTC John Shaw, I don't trust any of the Democrat or Republican parties. I sure don't have any faith in either sides candidates.

LTC John Shaw, It sad and frustrating. I've never felt so alone concerning our government.

So... the refugees are cool because we asked them and they said "nope. No terrorists here."
Problem Solved.

Vetting people is well intentioned but even stringent processes can be outsmarted. Good intentions only go so far.

I believe that. If the DD-214 and VA cards can be duplicated, don't you think the bad guys know that? Vetting is only as good as what proof is shown they aren't terrorist.

CPT Aaron Kletzing & SGT (Join to see). Veteran ID cards can be very inexpensive oh made counterfeit resistant using smart chips with tiny capacitive keypads and liquid crystal displays with embedded PINs to generate one time challenge response codes enabling reliable lost card management and reliable mobile veteran authentication.

1LT Sandy Annala, That's in this country and other civil countries. We're talking about a 3rd world country where crooks don't pay attention to laws.

So, in my little customs world, we would spend about an hourish with each refugee family. FBI, ICE, CIA usually have spooks nearby. What we don't know, is their "record" from Syria. Were they criminals there etc.

Exactly and we have no way of knowing their true beliefs, unless they have already been detained and photographed, fingerprinted and such.

in january 2010, U.S. intelligence officials warned that al-Qa`ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP)—the Yemen-based group responsible for the attempted Christmas Day airline bombing in the United States—is training female suicide bombers to attack countries in the West.[1] In May 2010, AQAP itself issued a call to Muslim women to join the jihad movement in Yemen.[2] U.S. officials reportedly believe that these women may have a “non-Arab” appearance and have Western passports, making it easier for them to evade detection while traveling.[3]

So I college I had a friend that was from the UAE. His father was filthy rich. Oman would go out and get credit cards like crazy. He would max them out and then go get some more. I told him he would have to pay these off at some point or his credit would be wrecked for life. You know what his response was??? "Oh when I go home I'll just have them change my passport and get a new visa. I'll be an entirely new person to the credit card companies when I return next year."
I can't see how it will be any different with the terrorist.

Thank you SGT William Howell. That's a new perspective to look at. Scares the hell out of me that it's that simple.

Seriously! Kerry lies through his teeth...look at the lies he told about while he was in Vietnam. There is no way to fully vet these folks.
Family's? Victims of torture? What he thinks that if you are part of a family, you are not a terrorists? Look at the female who blew herself up in France. She was family...part of a family.
DUDE! It's not just men who are terrorists and members of ISIS/ISIL
You want them here...Have them move into your house...your state...WITH YOUR FAMILY!
....and torture victims? How do you really know someone was tortured? Just because they say so? just because it looks like they were tortured? Yea...right...Whose to say they were not tortured on purpose to look that way so they can get onto American soil.
Give me a freaking break.
I say, if they end up letting them over here...then they should only go to the STATES where these idiots who want them here are from....and only to their HOME TOWNS...and stay with ONLY THEIR RELATIVES....

Sgt Kelli Mays, I think this entire refugee push is political. I just hope our Governor doesn't bend with the pressure. I mean, we already have border crossing day and night from Mexico and South America. I'm sure you notice it more in San Antonio than we do in Houston. We have all of the lawn people we need.

That view is not realistic when considering the attitudes of many Muslims both here and abroad. From the horse's mouth -

And yet Obama says the opposite. Almost everyone, with a brain that works, knows that Muslims hate (infidels) us, and don't give a rip if all of us were killed.
