So these VA officials plead the 5th when speaking to the Hill. What does everyone think about this.

Odd how we perceive one's use of "the 5th"
When LtCol Oliver North took the 5th during Iran-Contra hearings, we all supported him.
When executives in the VA take the 5th, we cry "foul."
To quote my dad (who repeatedly dodged jury duty), "If he's made it this far, let's fry 'em!"

I think they should not be allowed to plead the 5th, and their answers be mandatory...

A Constitutional Amendment that everybody in the Executive Branch can agree with!

They protected themselves from self incrimination.....while I do not like it, I rather not be lied to!

Fire them. People without guilt will talk freely.

I think they plead the fifth because they felt it was political motivated. They should get some jail time.

They need criminal charges brought up against them and jail time.

I think that any government employee should not be allowed that option.
