Background: CPT promotion: the cliff notes.
I'm on my 3rd scroll since Feb 2015.
1st scroll- FedRec kick back (something wrong in the packet). From my knowledge, handled at the ORNG G1 level and resubmitted.
2nd scroll- FedRec kick back (erroneous/derogatory information in packet). From my knowledge, handled at the ORNG G1 level and resubmitted.
Officially notified in NOV 2016 that my promotion is halted under Army Directive 2016-26 (Screening Requirements for Adverse and Reportable Information for Promotion and Federal Recognition to Colonel and below). It was only then that I was provided information that there were open files in a CID data base from when I was a junior enlisted Soldier (the files were open and still considered an "open investigation" even though they were 20 years old). I completed my official rebuttal, was approved for promotion and landed on a single nomination scroll that was forwarded to HQDA G-1 in January 2017.
That's where I sit at this point. My state G1/NGB has not been able to obtain information as to its status. Any thoughts on where to go next would be helpful.

Are you able to check your status on the G1 portal? If you haven't yet, try going to the below link, click the Career Center box, then choose My Soldier Data, and navigate down the left side to FedRec Packet Status. I am on scroll P10-17, but it seems the trackers haven't been updating office locations lately...or, at least that's what I'm telling myself: https://g1arng.army.pentagon.mil/

Well Well Well CPT promotion orders sent to me today, dated 5 JAN 2018. So Single Scroll is about 1 year + 2 months for finalization. 14 months total.

Looks like State G1 is excited: "I just got word that your packet is at the SECARMY for approval. We anticipate seeing something within the next 30-60 days. Fingers crossed!" So we'll see how this goes.
