Hell no. The problem is where do we put these people while we are doing the background checks/immunizations and health checks? Do we house them in Guantanamo temporarily until the background & medical checks are complete? What if I were in the group and said my name was Mickey Mouse....I would have a clear record in Syria....this is bad business without doing background checks.

No SSgt Alex Robinson we should never let immigrants into this country that we could not verify. I understand there are difficulties in vetting all travelers to this country prior to their arrival here. However there is no excuse for letting somebody immigrate to this country including for for asylum based on political or religious persecution until each person has been vetted and verified that they pose no threat, are not contagious with a disease that is not common to this country, etc. Vetting and verifying prior to entry into this nation is one of the functions of our embassies.
My family immigrated to this country and my wife and each member of her family immigrated to this country LEGALLY.
