Is it time for something to replace Veteran Affairs?

Modern technology can only go so far. I would like folks at the VA that are knowledgeable and caring. Your survey does not have enough choices as it is biased. What do you want to replace the VA with, and at what staggering cost? Keep the VA and work to fix the problems.

I have not a problem with the VA since I retired in 2008. I think most problems are due to the expectations of the Veterans. I know there are some locations with longer wait times and other care issues, but the VA was not structured and definitely not funded for the huge influx of Veterans they are now responsible to serve. As far as inoperable websites and other non-medical related issues, remember the VA is partially staffed by Veterans and other Federal workers who may not the same desire to serve you as you expect to be served. I did not expect a high level of service or medical care from the VA, but much to my surprise, my expectations were exceeded and I have to thank the staff at MY VA, the CW Young VA Hospital at Bay Pines in beautiful sunny Florida. They are everything YOUR VA facility is not!
