Why not? For decades, we have notified the enemy of an impending attack by our forces so that the "innocents" can vacate the premises. After all, they deserve a fair chance at the American dream, right? Besides, there will be much smoke, no fire in this endeavor.

MCPI Roger Collins, you make it sound as though ICE is planning on an assault to kill or capture. I don't believe this particular scenario nessitates "the innocents" vacating. If they haven't broken any laws (i.e. immigration laws) they should have no reason to vacate. Although I must agree with your smoke and no fire assesment. Thanks for the insight.

Just an analogy. The last thing I expect to see is an aggressive approach to resolving our illegal dilemma.

MCPO Roger Collins, I couldn't agree more. It's a pretty sad America when even the men and women that hold our Nation's security in the highest regard have all but given up hope on our elected Officials securing us from infiltration.

Similarly, OPSEC was so bad during January Paris attacks that the hostage taker had his tv turned on and had followed what police was doing outside of the grocery store. He even gave a phone interview during the situation.
Amongst others, those smart-ass journalists were reporting —live— where some civilians were taking cover inside the shop, while the terrorist didn't even know about their existence. Later, some former hostages took the tv news channel to court.
