There is only ONE surefire way to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. DON'T HAVE SEX.

There has been a single package that is faulty, and until that is resolved, not much can be done. Compensation is in order, but watch for all the lawsuits that may destroy this company and jobs that are not valid.

MCPO Roger Collins these types of lawsuits are the reason why we had a flu vaccine shortage a few years ago. The few companies that were making the vaccine where whittled down after a couple of lawsuits.

Sgt Spencer Sikder It is clearly stated in the information pamphlet for birth control pills that the effectiveness is NOT absolute. Even while taking birth control pills there is still the possibility of a pregnancy. Period !!

That said mislabeling any type of medication is a serious offense and the error must certainly be investigated and corrected. But the burden of proof is on the parties who claim that this was indeed the reason for their pregnancy. I believe that it will be extremely hard to prove.

PVT Robert Gresham, while the pills aren't an absolute guarantee the woman won’t become pregnant, the mistake this company made greatly increase the chance of pregnancy. Time to pay up.

SFC (Join to see) - Well, that's not really our call. "Innocent until PROVEN guilty" is, I believe the proper turn of phrase. Let the women prove that they were taking that brand at that time, that they took it faithfully, in accordance with directions, with no "skipping", and that they actually received one of the packages that had been misprinted. THEN we have the makings of a "pay up" scenario, and not before.

Should the company be held accountable for the full cost of raising a child?

In today's world the mother had a choice; both in getting pregnant and delivering her child.

No the company should not be held accountable for this. I know some people may feel overwhelmed by having a baby but Who's to say that the birth control would have stopped it anyway. Not to be religious about this but if God wants you to have a baby there is no stopping it.
