They have the right to do anything they want to do with their software; however, the market will punish them for being that stupid.

SSgt Alex Robinson Well 'block' is something of a misnomer in this case. It's not blocking, it's merely 'strongly suggesting' that a user doesn't switch. Aggressive, yes, in-you-face, yes. But it's not 'blocking'.

Having said that, if Win 10 DID block chrome I'd go back to Win 7.

Great post. That is like sayiing if you buy the Book Huckleberry Finn, you can't read the Odyssey, Since GOVERNMENT is the largest user of MS software, I doubt MS would limit third party software.  Some programs the fed uses are highly classified, and I can't imagine Uncle Sam giving up that code to MS writers.

Win 7 is quickly getting harder to find aa the default opsys in new laptops. I bought a new one with 10 on it since work is starting the process of switching to it. As long as I'm still their IT voodoo guy I figured I might as well have some idea of how to make it work. I don't think I ever had to block or uninstall so many things on an opsys.

No they should not, but an OS might operate better with the venders software.
