They also stone women for adultery and cut the hands off of petty thieves. They have a lot of domestic policies we disagree with. And the US has a lot of domestic policies other countries disagree with. It's just the nature of sovereignty...they can pretty much do what they want, internally, as a sovereign nation. We can complain, or use the UN to complain, or implement sanctions (like we already do against Iran & N Korea), but in the end, they do what they want. Not the same as US states, which are not sovereign, and the federal government has tremendous power through federal tax dollars distribution (or not).

Yes, Saudi Arabia is a sovereign nation, so was South Africa in the 1980s under the Apartheid Government.

CMSgt Bill Ford - The world changed around South Africa, and the People of South Africa made their voice heard. The world is still changing wrt women's rights and LGBT rights. I hope the women and LGBT together will rise up and make their voice heard within the Muslim world. I hope they achieve equality of opportunity everywhere.

CMSgt Bill Ford, it would be unwise to send any LGBT representatives to do business in Saudi Arabia. The negotiations could be cut short.

Capt Seid Waddell - I agree, it was the lack of...I guess outrage, anger or basic criticism of the violations that struck me on part of the Hollywood Left. Thanks for the reply...

CMSgt Bill Ford, on the left, outrage depends upon whose ox is being gored.
