For this week's submission, I present one of my favorite authors. Robert Asprin.

Phule's Company is "nominally" a military themed novel, in that it is a comedic novel which takes place in the far future about a rag tag group of Legionnaires, in what is best described as the "Worst Unit in the Service."

Each member is a "problem child" who has been shipped off for one reason or another, including their new CO, who has the mission to make them a cohesive unit.

It's not a very long book, and it can be conquered in a few hours, but definitely worth the read.

It's a good series. It's a simple fast read, but fun & light hearted. His other series "M.Y.T.H." is also great, and touches on concepts of mentorship & team-building strangely enough.

They're great in that they are a little different from the traditional fare.
