Probably my second hardest decision since I joined the Army.

I am at the point of my career where I want to take a different path and become a Warrant Officer. My debate is complicated, I am a 68J and my options are: CWO in my field (which I do not enjoy as much), or Pilot, but I am not familiar with the benefits and job security of being a helicopter pilot for when I retire. I also have a huge interest for CID CWO, but it requires at least two years of CID Enlisted experience, so this could take a while before I even commission.
I am really confused and mislead by bias opinions. If you have any input, please share it with us.

You have one more option. 67J Aeromedical Evacuation Pilot. Flight Warrant promotion rates are getting pretty cut throat. You have to have a real passion and desire to fly if you want to go that route. As for the post retirement options for helicopter pilots. Your going to need 2000 flight hours or more to be eligible for most jobs, that can take years to accumulate. Even then the average job is only going to get you in the 50-60,000 a year range.

Thank you Chief, I've never thought of flying a helicopter, and I really mean NEVER. So this is more of a "I could get into it" decision. Your explanation clears up some things I didn't know such as the 2000 flight hours. Thanks!

Hah! Thanks!
Being a pilot is definitely out of the question now. There's nothing wrong with it, but like you said, I don't have the passion for it.

Regardless if you retire from the military your going to have more benifits and salary than most Americans. Follow your gut, a give it your all. Every career option has that part of the job you will not like. Having said that; no one ever gains any respect for an easy career. My advice! Pick the one that will challenge you the most, and then grab hold of it. Thanks
