This is kind of awesome, and it with WWII veterans passing at a high rate, it is important to preserve the stories and experiences of those who lived them.

Great undertaking and very worthy deeds, these Warriors endured some of the harshest fighting conditions known!

Question - will we learn our lesson and start listening and documenting our Korean War and Vietnam War Veterans?

Yes this is rather a cool endeavor. I love talking to old vets from any of the wars. Very good idea to capture and preserve this before it is all lost.

Both of my grandfathers served in WWII. One of them was a doctor in the pacific. He died before I was born so I could not talk to him about it. My other grandfather laid communication cable. He lived into his seventies, but he did not like to talk about the war, or his time in the service. Only one time did he show me items that he had brought back with him from overseas.
