In light of all the Caitlyn Jenner conversations, here's a little humor.

What a brave Airman! He can no longer deny who he really is and should be commended and heralded as a true hero!

SrA Marianne Santangelo, would you care to explain the down vote? How on earth can you find something posted in the humor forum from the Duffel Blog site offensive?

Are you so thin-skinned that you find everything offensive? Do you not have the integrity to say WHY you're offended? If that is the case, you are what's wrong with today's younger military personnel.

If it's some other reason, I'm open for debate. But don't be a coward who down votes and doesn't say why.

So can you remove your down vote if that is the case?

Also, explain why you down voted this comment please. I was simply asking a question in regards to your original down vote.

Thank you SrA Marianne Santangelo. Could you also please remove your original down vote in that case? You stated that you have no opinion either way and that it was a simple error. If that's true, then the original down vote shouldn't be there either.

Thank you for your time.

Being a huge DB fan, I see the humor in this article. However, it's articles like this that cause people to become numb and maintain ignorance of the topic at heart. I'm not going to preach for hours about it, but in today's military these types of conversations can't been seen as appropriate.

I had to remind a LTC of this just yesterday as he was getting just a little too heated over the Caitlyn Jenner news. After a 10 mins explanation of why the things he was saying were not appropriate, I simply told him to understand where to draw the line and then sent him the links below for some reading. I told him it was just to show him the types of people that his ignorant comments could affect.

I completely understand the points you have made in this mini-lecture. I feel like you took my statement and unloaded a lot of thoughts that have been on you mind from various discussions, ha.
And, is regard to me talking with the LTC, it wasn't really me lecturing him. Honestly, I didn't take anything he said offensively, but when you are in the position of a "leader" regardless of the enviornment, you need to be aware of the things you say and who might be listening. In that situation, his words were of hatred and ignorance, and there are individuals within our building that identify themselves as transgender. I simply explained to him why what he was saying was wrong, and cleared up some of his confusion.
