MILPER Message #17-052 is calling for National Guard Officers at the company grade level to submit their packet to HRC to transfer to the Regular Army. I have only seen a call like this during the surge of Iraq. But this is a sign of a future build up of the Army.
With that being said I have submitted my packet to move over to the Regular Army. I am still awaiting the official word back from HRC. Who else have submitted a packet to the CAD program and how was your experience? Did you get your duty station of choice or did they even need officers in your branch?

I have a fraternity brother that jumped right on this option. He was only 6 months removed from AD... glad they opened the sort for him again.

I missed the cut off date, had a lot of things going on, and figured I was happy with what I was doing in the guard. Then I saw they extended the deadline and I'm jumping right onto the opportunity. Now I'm kicking myself I didn't have my packet submitted in March

Good luck to you! You're an asset to any organization you support.
I'm staying with the Guard. With my family situation, and being an AGR officer in a small state, I've got the best possible arrangement.
