Wait time
So this video is my conversation with Norma Fraser, Chief Voluntary Service at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. She was the one that contacted me via Facebook. I am not trying to attack the VA here or slander this woman or job. I am trying to spread awareness of the problems Veterans all over this nation are having. At this moment I do not need to be seen and will attend my appointment so that I can keep my records straight and don't slow this process down anymore than it already is. In this video I get my answer... finally and then express my concern and ask how I can help. Please let me help, hire me to answer the phone if it will help!! What can I do!!? I will help sort documents, scan documents, take calls, help folks get to their cars. The Wilmington VA has my application!! I applied last year through New Hanover County and got no phone call!! I know how I can try to help and that is to share everything I have posted and ask the same for those that read and watch the video. At least for Robert Keith. My best friend took his life on the 4th of July this year and everyone I talked to during the days leading to his funeral, the wake, and the funeral itself all said the same thing.

HE WAS NOT GETTING HELP FROM THE VA!! THAT THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM!! WAIT TIMES ARE AN ISSUE!! MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS SERIOUS ATTENTION!! DRS NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE!! RECORDS ARE LOST OR MISSING!!

These issues aren't from NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams or the Today Show folks these are actual Veterans and Veterans families talking about the real issues that they experience when they are at the VA, on hold with the VA, or trying to get a claim through the VA. The world is going through a lot right now and it's when the world goes through a lot we loose sight of real issues like these.

I feel let down today. At this point all I want to do is help those that really need the benefits earned by volunteering their service to the United States of America. Those Veterans like myself that took the Oath of Enlistment and served their country honorably.

As a nurse, my heart breaks every time I hear that a vet is not receiving the care they deserve from the VA. This is a very broken process that will take a long time to correct.
