I am interested in switching my mos to 25d. Which requirements are accurate? Must I have time working it or ia or not? Is that waiverable if I do? Must I be a ssg, but I might be able to find this on my own.

It’s all accurate. You must be a SSG or SGT(P) to apply. It’s an application MOS, meaning you apply and if they like what they see, they’ll accept you. Once you’re accepted you bring that memo to your career counselor to reclass. This IS NOT and entry level IT MOS.

The only IT experience that I had when I submitted my packet was 60 credits towards a BS in Cyber Security and SEC+ so they will waive the IT experience. I learned quite a bit there and from others who had experience already a few said that their prior experience did not help because it was not related to all the security stuff we learned in the school house. I would recommend getting the hang of using Linux and being ready to study nearly all day every day for a 2 month period.

Any information about the ISCT? What did you do to prepare for it?

I went as a SGT non p, and my IT experience did get waived, as we had many other MOS apply and get accepted with only SEC+. You have to be at least an E5 to get considered

SSG,
Do you automatically get promoted to SSG upon award of the MOS ?
or still have to submit the promotion packet ?

How were you able to submit the application? I've checked Mil suite, ATTRS, the Milper Messages and the only thing on there is an email address. I'm sending an email for clarification and if they have the forms required. Hopefully there's a response.
