This is a change in policy, to allow undocumented immigrants to serve if they have skills needed by the military.

I'm conflicted on this issue. On the one hand, I assume it will strengthen our military and provide or enhance a needed capability. On the other hand, "undocumented" is code-speak for illegal.

What does the RP community think?

Pentagon weighing allowing illegal immigrants into the military: Your thoughts?

This article states that the Pentagon is weighing allowing some immigrants who came to this country illegally as children to serve in the military. This would apply to those who have since received work permits and relief from deportation under a program the President announced two years ago.

What are your thoughts on this?
