I'm looking for some ideas for a half-garage man-cave. It has to have some sort of military theme. Can you guys help me out. If you have fully converted your basement or garage to said man-cave, would you be willing to post pictures? I was thinking cammo netting, with foot lockers converted to coolers, not sure what I want as furniture, but looking for some real good ideas. Help a brother out...this is going to be my therapy...RallyPoint room...don't tell anyone.

Don't have a picture but in '05, I built a 224 sq ft building adjacent my home to accommodate all my woodworking tools. Has a second floor also. Wall mounted tools, along with shelving, etc. I picked up some kitchen cabinets from someone who was renovating their house, so those are mounted on the walls. Had to expand the space last year though. Added an additional 176 sq ft - the expanded wing. I store all my military gear in that side. External to the building is our flag raised high on a makeshift pole - made of hard pvc. Also posted on the building is the Army flag. Since I am an Engineer, there are lots of Engineer castles incorporated inside the building with a bumper sticker that says "Engineers Clear The Way". Nice retreat spot that also includes a mounted TV, mini fridge, and wired for the Internet. I have an Army field desk from my dad in use. Also have two footlocker's that stores all my gear, keeps the clothing dry.

1LT Thomas Fallon sounds like heaven. But...what do they say, if you have no pics, it didn't happen. I can totally visualize, and may have to come back to you for ideas. My daughter is a Seabee, and sort of hope she learns enough to build my first home...with my help of course.

My wife helped raise the roof. I was amazed that she got up high on the ladder to help install the rafters and collar ties. She didn't enjoy using a nailer either, but had no choice.
