Janus DoD/VA health record viewer to be shared with third-party medical providers

During a Feb. 11 hearing of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, VA Chief Information Officer Stephen Warren said Janus, a joint VA-DoD EHR interface used at a limited number of facilities, will be provided to third-party clinicians via a URL in about a year.
The Janus-based interface has been piloted at Tripler Army Medical Center and Spark M. Matsunaga VA Medical Center in Honolulu, the James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, and the Palo Alto, Calif. VA Medical Center.

I don't even trust the VA with my information. Why would I trust the VA sharing my information?
