Me too! I was always trying to find ways to get the enemy to drop their disguise and engage in the open. I shuras without body armor on. Weapon unloaded. Walking down the street in a village. It seemed the more I got out there the more they backed down. One village I was with the Italians and I was told this one guy was a suspected terrorist leader, so I walked up slapped on the back and followed him around for an hour. He would do anything but later I saw a storyboard and he had been arrested. The villiagers had also began informing after this little show of force. I still don't it was him for sure. These ISIS guys do not like hiding, I really like that about them.

I think they'll flirt really hard with the line. They don't want full scale military involvement WITH public backing. Slaughtering a garrison of Marines would incite full scale military retaliation, which is detrimental to their initial cause. Until they are established, they will flirt with the line of "I'm the big dog on the block" while not go barking too close to the wolfpack.
They will incite violence on a local level, but until their borders are secured they won't do anything outside. If I were a betting man, their EXTERIOR terrorist actions will not really begin until they have secured their borders. At that spot, they can begin harboring and training enemies of their enemies to commit terrorist actions.
Al Baghdadi is an evil man, but he's not a fool....much the same as Hitler. Hopefully he has Hitler's tactical brilliance and ability to delegate to his subordinates. Unfortunately, I believe that his end will only be a JDAM....hopefully delivered by a woman.

MAJ (Join to see) -IIRC, they don't get into heaven at all if a woman is the one that kills them. Granted, my knowledge on the exact details is limited....buuuttt, I am pretty sure that's the case.

This is just an observation.. however the Syrian army and Hezbollah seem to have IS on the run, at the same time they realize they are defending a state that has Bashar Al Assad the Butcher as head of state.

Meanwhile large portions of the Iraqi army seem willing to draw a draw a pay check, but unwilling to risk their lives for this new Iraqi government. The only region that has a decent military is semi-autonomous and their people are fighting for fellow Kurds... not this new Iraqi state.
It seems to me that all those who advised that Iraq should be turned into three states, are being proven correct.
