Is there any way to get my LESs from finance or somewhere else other than DFAS?

So I retired a couple of months ago. I am closing on a home but I am being held up because I don't have my LESs from the last 8 months I was on active duty. I put in the request to DFAS 411 and they told me it would take up to 30 days. Is there anyway to get my LESs from finance or somewhere else? Yes I realize I should've downloaded them before I left active duty, I'm already tracking I suck because of that.

What is the problem with DFAS? Although retired, I can log in and get copies of LES and tax documents anytime. And, no, there is no option other than DFAS to get these documents elsewhere. Set up an account and get them immediately.

LESs when you were on active duty? I can get my "retirement paystubs" but not my active duty LESs

SSG (Join to see) Been a long time, have no idea if the DFAS combines a service member’s pay records, active and retired. But, if it were me, I would make a phone call and find out. Not for it to be manually processed, if it is available electronically.

DFAS and MyPay are the only ways to get your LES. Even if you go to finance, they just request it from DFAS.

I would ask the lender if they would accept a copy of last years income tax form. That plus your DD214 to see no disciplinary action since..........should be enough of an alternatiive.

I'm assuming you've already tried online and they have already switched your account to a retirement one correct?

SSG (Join to see) I had a similar issue. What I was able to provide, and they accepted at the closing, were my actual bank statements. I simply printed out and highlighted each months pay deposit for as many months as they required. Ask your realtor if they’d accept the same at your closing.

When I bought a house, I did not have to give 8 months of LESs. I financed through USAA. I also had my pay sent there. They gave me my mortgage. Maybe if you financed through your bank that gets your pay check every month it would be easier?

Under the retirement MyPay, I no longer have access to my active duty LESs, only my retirement paystubs.

SSG (Join to see) - Have you access to a phone to call DFAS? Ask them to give you access to your records. You could also ask DFAS for a Privacy Act request for all records they have on you. Bottom line, lots to do, but just go to the bank that has your direct deposit. If it was USAA, you will not need 8 LESs. Most companies can see that in a $25 credit report.
