Is there a way to obtain copies of my military awards, and also the medals/ribbons as a retiree ?

You would do that through the National Personnel Records Center*. They wouldn't issue the awards/certificates, but they would (for Army and Air Force) verify the awards you're eligible for and then forward the request to the service to work the replacement.

They are, I was refering to the actually awards themselves, I wanted to make a small show box, of my awards and grandfathers awards
