I need a waiver for stress fractures that occurred in basic . Re enlistment code RE-3 JFV . I was wondering if I would have a better shot of getting my waiver approved in the national guard

Nope. You could go to any branch and the waiver process would be essentially the same. It is not the branch that defines this but rather Department of Defense.

I will have to disagree with that. Since this is medical then all branches might be the same and If it was just a recode situation then he would have a better change with the guard cause NGB can do things USRAEC can’t .

Sgt Eric Davis, sorry but no. An SM gets discharged with an RE code that precludes easy reenlistment, it does not matter the branch. The changing of that code still has to go before the board of that branch, not an easy task and it is the same hill that the hopeful service member would face whether they chose to try to enlist as Reg Army, Reserve or National Guard.
This is not just medical but re code as well. He has to show that he is physically fit to perform the duty, and complete training. He was discharged before completing Basic Training by the looks of it.
Going Guard is not going to make his waiver process any easier as that has to meet DOD standards the same as the Army and Reserves.

You have an RE-3, the possibility of you being allowed to reenlist is nearly infinitesimal. I advise you quit pouring energy into this pipedream and find a new career.
