Looking to join either the reserve or the National Guard as a Split Option. The career I want is 15T, but I’m unable to find any information on if it’s available for not. I believe it isn’t available for NG recruits, anyone know anything about the reserves?

If you haven’t done so already you should just contact an Army Reserve or Army National Guard recruiter. Good luck!

A recruiter would have a list of MOS that qualify for split option. They are typically MOS that have short AIT and last list I looked it, 15T was not on there. It was mostly 12, 88, and 92-series. 15P was on there though.

Yeah, I found SMOM 19-010, doesn't have 15T as eligible. I think my color deficiency would interfere anyways, so I'll probably just end up going 31B. Kind of sucks that 15T isn't on there though, it's only 1 week longer than some of the MOS's on that list.

And why split ops? Go RA and enjoy the world. You can always come back to where you're at now.

15T is available to NG recruits. The availability for you is going to depend primarily on what aviation assets the state your enlisting with has.

Hi, I’m not asking if there are slots available, I’m asking if the job itself is an allowed job for split option recruits. Apparently only certain MOS’s are available

You would need to speak to a recruiter about that, the policy on accession criteria is subject to regular change based upon needs of the force.

15T is available in the NG if your state has the assets and the available slots. Reserve aviation units are few and far between.
The only person who’s going to be able to tel you if there are slots available is a recruiter though.

I believe the Army's Split Option program is available only to those going into the National Guard.
