I WANT to attend drill. However my unit says to drill from home because I am waiting on my PEB. Reading the AR 635-40 a million times I can’t see anything saying that I can’t go. I found more interpretations saying that until the day the PEB finds you unfit you are supposed to go about your day as usual. The congressional office at the pentagon as well as soldiers counsel is in support of my understanding. My unit however is not.

When I was a drilling reservist all soldiers pending a PEB attended drill. You may be pending this for a long time. Also as others have said, if you Unit is telling you not to attend, get in writing and I would request to have it signed by the Unit Commander.

I would still go until I was exempt by them in writing.
