Is it really a secret if it's in the newspaper?

...I know, right? LOL...This one really cracks me up....

To funny!. I love that they still say it is a secret. Secret my *ss.

Haven't you ever wondered why we are always told by our leaders to be careful what we post on social media...or what we write in letters...about our actions/movements/deployments.....yet newspapers will blast all over the waves what units will be doing?

I know in a lot of cases we (Military Intelligence Folks) Thought we had a Coup if we new it 6 hrs before the Media. With the Exception of Prairie Fire/Eldorado Canyon I was working on that one for 3 months before we bombed Libya.

I always got a Kick out of Things that were supposedly "Secret" but both sides new about it. It was in both sides Unclassified Professional Technical Magazines and "Janes" Military Books. The Only ones it really was "Secret" from were the citizens of the countries. Lord help us if citizens could make an intelligent informed decision. LOL! Sorry just the Ranting's of a Retired Navy Spook!
