Prior service Marine looking to go into the Army Reserves or National Guard. Does anyone know if the 35L job is still available to entry level and if there is a demand?
I’ve been in contact with multiple recruiters and they have no solid answers, in fact, the Army Reserve recruiters claim that they cannot even discuss jobs with prior service. They claim only MEPS liaisons can. They won't even say if the job is available. The National Guard recruiter says that currently only 35M HUMINT is available in my area (Massachusetts). Any information is appreciated thanks.

Good after noon SFC (Join to see) I’m currently in the process of applying for 35L while on active duty just waiting on retention to submit my 4187. Do you happen to know if they are currently taking in soldiers to Ait or not due to the Covid-19??

Sorry for the double post and short answer dealing with a personal issue. I work for the USAR CI program. If you are serious I can call you Monday and get some info to arrange contact with a local(ish) CI unit. You will most likely have to deal with Army Recruiting to get you to MEPs and contracted but on the CI side I can help.

SSG Casey, how about for active duty that is interested in 35L? I tried to contact the Intel email on the recruitment webpage but didn't really get anywhere. Thank you.

I don't think the MAARNG has any units with 35Ls. I believe the Army Reserve has a MI Battalion over at FT Devens.
