The Requirement according to the British System they must be a NCO with 22 years or more of Exceptional Service and they would be put to work as Historians in Residence at National Monuments.

Not here but in England it does and talk about an awesome way for Senior Enlisteds to continue serving their Country as Lecturers and Historians.
