If Donald Trump is elected President, would it be more honorable to resign from service or to serve under his "leadership"?

You can resign if you like. The rest of us will continue to serve this great country. Only here can clowns, like him and others (serving, served, and trying to become the POTUS) even think about running. Some of them try to use their influence to run their agendas, but how much power do they really have? Elected officials are better than people that run things under other means.

I say stay in. You and all veterans serve the US constitution "We the people!" I feel he will pour more money back into our military if it is to be strong again .. as he has proclaimed to do.

Sir, You have taken an oath to "Support and Defend the Constitution of the United States." You signed up to defend our country, and I think it would be dishonorable to resign.

Would you also say that that would have been an equally fair question to ask in 2008? Your post BEGS for that reciprocal discussion.

The question was really more rhetorical, thus the reason I didn't say, "should *I*" do this or that. It was more a question of whether its better to willingly serve under a toxic leader, or to leave service.
But to answer you question - shouldn't every leader in any position always question whether it is honorable to serve under the leadership they currently have?

If I wasn't already out, I would go. No disrespect to any CIC, but I wouldn't want to serve under anyone who has no military experience!

That'st just it, GHW Bush had military experience. clinton was a NG draft dodger who may or may not have had felony charges levied in his general direction for missing drill. So miltary experience, no, he studied abroad in the fabian socialist utopia, GB.

Really sad that that is what you are looking for in a President! Bit of a hater like him!

Man I felt the same way about President Obama...but yet here I am...we dont serve the man. We obey his orders, but our oath is first and foremost to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and THEN obey the orders of the President...notice which comes first?
The fact you would resign makes you to be a little child...sir.
Quite frankly hes what we need. Hes not afraid to speak his mind, hes not about PC or niceties, and he calls it like he sees em. Its something we need in this country, we as a whole have lost our backbone, our collective strength, and the will to be the Land of the Free, and Home of the Brave.
Im not saying I ll vote for him, or who I will vote for for that matter, but I certainly feel refreshed that a candidate isnt afraid to hurt someone s feelings.
Quite frankly, hes a got a better leadership record and firm grasp on economics than his predecessor has... (IF he gets elected).

Stating that Trump is what we need, a complete joke of a candidate is really pathetic and maybe says too much about your own views. He has absolutely no policies, his whole platform is "I am awesome, I am a winner, I'll make America great again!" He has no ideas on how - just bravado - no substance! And if you buy in to his shallow message - you may need to read more!

COL Ross Green - All I said is that he is refreshing, not that I would vote for him.
