What are some ideas, tips, or tricks on getting a waiver for a direct commision packet to become an FA 26A Network Engineer?

prior service national guard e5 25b of 9 years here looking to get back in. Building a reserves fa26a network engineer direct commision signal packet. I have almost 14 years experience but my degree was awarded in 2020 which cuts me in half and limits to the rank CPT rather than 10 years for MAJ; heard of any waivers for this? Other than that, Any one from that side of the wheelhouse have any tips or tricks on the process?

No waiver is possible as it is federal law restricting the constructive credit for your work experience* which is why the applicable DoDI states that "creditable experience cannot predate the receipt of a degree or certificate" (DoDI 1312.03*, para 3.4b(7)).
The "why is that" behind that restriction is because the constructive credit calculations are done to give parity to those that require advanced certifications, have applicable work experience, etc. when compared to those that began commissioned service immediately after obtaining a baccalaureate degree.

I have never heard of a degree being issued in a certain year limiting any rank progression or time in service.

The possible rank determination is based on IT experience after the BS degree has been conferred.
His point is that if the Army accepted all his IT work experience, it would place him in the guidelines for being direct commissioned as an O-4 (10 years 6 months - 16 years 5 months).
