I thought this Christmas float was pretty awesome and I just wanted to share it with you all. What do you think?

This is a picture of one of the floats in the Middleburg Parade, Middleburg, FL. early this week. Of all the floats, this one definitely caught my eye as a lot of us and our families really know this feeling and visual all too well!
It shows a soldier reading a letter from home on one side.... A spouse and children celebrating Christmas without their soldier on the other side with and? An Angel watches over them all! Definitely gave me a warm fuzzy!!!!!

MSG (Join to see) Gotta admit, as many parades as I have been to, this is the first float with this theme!

MSgt Curtis Ellis - That had this big of a statement...........that sadly only those of us that have served, and the families of those, can truly understand. Because the general civilian, while having somewhat of an idea, can't really fathom the depth of the message this float conveys.

It is awesome! What a great visual representation of the separation. Kudos to whoever thought of this!

I concur with you MSgt Curtis Ellis. The contrast of the side by side positioning of a soldier in lonely outpost with a family gathered to celebrate Christmas is striking.
