I'm transitioning in the Virginia area. I's social work a good career in the Virginia area?

If you enjoy giving benefits and tax payer dollars to lazy people who make no attempt to get off welfare and out of the system, then VA is perfect for a social work career.

Currently there are thousands of people facing criminal charges in the central VA area due to unemployment fraud for benefits, and that is just one area of problems within the state in regards to social work, many of the workers in the field here are a major part of the problem as there are ones under indictment as well, and the departing Governor was just indicted this past week on federal charges.
